    CAN YOU PUT MOSAIC TILE OVER CERAMIC TILE?

    As long as your existing ceramic tiles are in good condition there is no reason why you cannot put mosaic tile over them. In fact, this is a quick and easy way to give your space a brand new look. However, if there are chips or cracks in the existing tiles you should remove them and clean the surface ready for the mosaic tiles to be applied, otherwise your new mosaic tile will not look its best and may not last. 

    HOW TO CUT CERAMIC MOSAIC TILE

    Ceramic mosaic tile can be cut by hand using a simple manual tile cutter in many cases, however if the tiles are very thick it would be best to use a wet saw since this will ensure the most effective cutting with sufficient lubrication for the blade. 

    HOW TO INSTALL A CERAMIC MOSAIC TILE BACKSPLASH

    When it comes to installing a ceramic mosaic tile backsplash, the first step is to ensure that the surface of the wall is clean and dry. Lay out your tiles in the desired pattern so that you get a clear idea of where they will be fitted and then apply a layer of adhesive to the wall. Align your first tile and press firmly to ensure optimal fixing to the surface. Repeat for your remaining tiles then leave to dry before applying grout.
