    ARE SUBWAY TILES CERAMIC OR PORCELAIN?

Porcelain subway tiles are more expensive for customers due to the manufacturing processes involved and the cost of porcelain in general. Despite being more costly, porcelain tiles tend to be more durable and denser.

    HOW TO CUT CERAMIC SUBWAY TILES

    First, measure the tile and mark onto it using a pen and ruler where you would like to make a cut. Place the tile onto a stable, hard surface such as a solid table. Using a tile cutter, align the cutting wheel with the mark then apply pressure to score the tile. Use the breaker bar on the tool to snap the tile where you have scored it. 

    HOW TO INSTALL CERAMIC SUBWAY TILES

    Start by preparing the area you wish to tile; carefully measure the space where you will be installing the tiles. Clean the area and ensure that it is dry before applying the adhesive. Work on a small scale, start with just a few tiles to begin with as you get the hang of the tiling process. Don’t forget to use spacers between the tiles. Continue tiling in the same way, installing the tiles row-by-row.
