Karndean Designflooring Provides High-Quality Flooring For Any Home

CHOOSE YOUR PERFECT SIZE OF LUXURY VINYL PLANK

It can be difficult to find the exact size dimensions of the luxury vinyl planks you want for your home, however, with Karndean they specialize in a wide variety of plank sizes and shapes so you’ll always get what you want. By far the most popular size of LVP is the 7’’ x 48’’ size. This provides a long vinyl plank that is reminiscent of real wood flooring. It can be laid horizontally in a room to extend the space outwards, or laid vertically to enhance the appearance of length in a room. With over 75 designs to choose from in this style, which encompasses the whole Van Gogh, Knight, and Art Select ranges, you’re sure to find something that fits perfectly in your home.

Our next two most popular sized planks by Karndean are the 9.84’’ x 41.34’’ and the 9.84’’ x 59.06’’ planks. These sizes cover the LooseLay Originals as well as the LooseLay Longboard ranges. When you add a wider board to the floor, it gives a unique sense of continuity in a space and a classic elegance. This is because wider boards can make a space feel much more open and not as constrained as with smaller boards. As there are fewer boards in the room too, you get a more streamlined and cohesive feel, perfect for minimalist or modern designs. A wide plank also has the ability to recreate traditional wooden floorboards in older homes, and this effect is enhanced if you choose a darker color of wood.

FIND A STYLE THAT WORKS FOR YOU WITH DIFFERENT BOARD DIMENSIONS

When it’s a shorter and thinner board you’re looking for to add interest or create a style statement, opt for a 3’’ x 9’’. These are excellent for creating the look of parquet flooring and they’re glue down too. This means that if you want to DIY fit the boards, you’ll have no trouble at all. This shorter range comes in three different styles so every property can make use of them, especially when used to great effect in an entranceway or hallway. A light colored Blond Oak adds light to any space, the Auburn Oak is a beautiful brown that can accompany any style, but if you want to create a dark and moody room that speaks of elegance, choose the Black Oak.

In addition to the different sizes of plank we offer here at Stone & Tile, you can also choose the right thickness for the room. Thicker doesn’t always mean better soundproofing and wear resistance, and in fact one of the most popular ranges are the 4.5 mm planks because they fit so well in any space, even when transferring from LVP to carpet or tile floor. The glue down Knight range is the thinnest on offer, as just 2 mm to offer a variety for low traffic areas in a budget-friendly way. If you want to choose the happy middle ground, then we also have 3 mm planks in the Art Select range to suit just about any room.

LUXURY VINYL TILES SUITS ANY ROOM AND ADD MODERN CHARM

There are so many reasons to choose luxury vinyl tile over the other vinyl alternatives, bringing a new sense of style coupled with durability. They have a realistic appearance of wood and stone and can mimic it beautifully as you’ll see from LVTs in the range we offer here at Stone & Tile. The Korlok Palazzo Marble has a creamy color with veins of grey streaking through the surface, and as each is different just like real marble, you can confidently lay marble-look LVT in your home with all of the appeal of hard natural stone. If you want something that replicates real slate tiles without the maintenance, then you can choose something like the Opus Ombra to create a dark and dreamy, or the Madison which features a textured surface to provide a fantastic underfoot experience.

What’s more, LVT is extremely durable. It is resistant to dents, scrapes and scratches, so you don’t have to worry about dropping a heavy object from a height which would crack a normal tile. Perfect for areas that see a lot of traffic, LVT is built to last in areas that wood might not, for example, in bathrooms and kitchens. If you needed another reason to buy luxury vinyl tiles, then the low maintenance aspect of them has to be a winner.

There’s no kind of prepping the surface or repeated staining or sealing of the floors as with wood and stone. LVT tiles are also a budget-friendly choice compared to real stone or wood flooring, and they’re easier to install too with a simple lock and click system, or they can be glued down. These surfaces are wipe clean and can be brought back to sparkling condition with just a sweeping brush, vacuum cleaner, and warm water mopped over the surface. You don’t have to worry about them buckling or bending either, as they’re completely waterproof.
