HOW TO INSTALL MOSAIC TILES WITH MESH BACKING ON WALLS

First, prepare your walls for the installation process by ensuring they’re clean and dry. Mix some flexible adhesive and apply it to your walls with a V-notched trowel. Apply the tiles with the mesh side to the wall, using the grout float to press the tile against the adhesive. Allow it to set before cleaning away any haze and excess adhesive with a damp sponge. Once 24 hours have passed, you can then apply grout to the joints.

CAN YOU USE MOSAIC TILE ON SHOWER WALLS?

You can certainly use mosaic tile on your shower walls and, in fact, this is a great way to create an eye-catching shower that will be the focal point of your bathroom. However, it’s important to choose products that are waterproof in order to ensure that they won’t be damaged by regular exposure to water. 

CAN YOU USE MOSAIC WALL TILES ON THE FLOOR?

Mosaic wall tiles should not be used on the floor because they aren’t designed to withstand footfall. Even in your rarely used rooms, eventually your flooring will experience some footfall and this will cause wear and tear that will necessitate replacement of your tiles far sooner than would otherwise be necessary. If you want to use mosaic tiles on your floor, you need to choose products that are designed specifically for installation on floors. We have products that are suitable for residential, light commercial, and even heavy commercial use. 

HOW TO HANG HEAVY MOSAIC ON THE WALL

Hanging a piece of heavy mosaic art on the wall will require a specialist solution such as French cleats. However, when it comes to mosaic tiles that are designed for wall fitting, you can simply use a standard epoxy or thinset adhesive. None of our wall mosaic tiles are too heavy to fit on your wall, and all can be secured without any concerns about them falling off.
