    A sufficient grout joint gives the tile room to breathe – so to speak – for building movement and thermal expansion. Talking about grout size for 12x24 tile, it’s better to 1/16” grout lines on vertical surfaces and 1/8” lines on floors. It’s essential to choose the appropriate trowel type and notch size.
