HOW TO INSTALL LARGE FORMAT MARBLE TILE 

Prepare the surface to make sure that it is smooth. Measure the space in which you are laying the large format marble tile and choose your layout. Cut the tiles as required, wearing safety goggles to protect your eyes. Spread a layer of adhesive onto the surface with the flat side of a notch trowel, then rotate the trowel and comb over the adhesive with the notched edge to remove excess and create the ridges that encourage good bonding. Butter the back of the tiles and lay in place, one at a time. 

When the tiles have set in place, apply grout to the joints using a rubber float to press the grout into the gaps. Finally, use a damp cloth to wipe away excess grout from the surface. This is an important step as dried-on residue is hard to remove and will diminish the stunning finish of your marble tile.

HOW TO HANDLE LARGE FORMAT MARBLE TILE

Marble is a solid and durable natural material, and as such can be heavy to lift in the larger formats. If you are working with large format marble tile it is best to treat it as a job for two pairs of hands and use suction cups for extra assistance when lifting. Taking these precautions minimizes the risk of damaging the tile.
