    LARGE FORMAT BLACK MARBLE TILE – MOODY OPULENCE

    LARGE FORMAT CARRARA MARBLE TILES – DREAMY WHITE SCENES

    This exclusive Italian marble is one of the most beautiful options in our range. Bringing the soft warmth of ivory and off-white, with pale gray to gold veining, it is a discreet and delicate marble option that whispers the highest elegance.

    Our large format Carrara tiles bring a perfect, pure, highly-polished shine to living spaces and even commercial reception areas. It speaks of refinement and grace without overwhelming the rest of your décor. Its mellow hues pair well with natural wood for an aesthetic that is softly structured, combining comfort with strong design.

    Large format Carrara tiles are stunning as a bathroom backsplash. A half wall run of this marble is an elegant alternative to tiling, merging a high-end look with practicality. With fewer and finer joints between tiles than with standard sized tiles, it creates a luxurious but easy to care for finish.

    HOW TO INSTALL LARGE FORMAT MARBLE TILE 

    Prepare the surface to make sure that it is smooth. Measure the space in which you are laying the large format marble tile and choose your layout. Cut the tiles as required, wearing safety goggles to protect your eyes. Spread a layer of adhesive onto the surface with the flat side of a notch trowel, then rotate the trowel and comb over the adhesive with the notched edge to remove excess and create the ridges that encourage good bonding. Butter the back of the tiles and lay in place, one at a time. 

    When the tiles have set in place, apply grout to the joints using a rubber float to press the grout into the gaps. Finally, use a damp cloth to wipe away excess grout from the surface. This is an important step as dried-on residue is hard to remove and will diminish the stunning finish of your marble tile.

    HOW TO HANDLE LARGE FORMAT MARBLE TILE

    Marble is a solid and durable natural material, and as such can be heavy to lift in the larger formats. If you are working with large format marble tile it is best to treat it as a job for two pairs of hands and use suction cups for extra assistance when lifting. Taking these precautions minimizes the risk of damaging the tile.

    WHAT IS THE BIGGEST MARBLE TILE SIZE? 

    Our largest pre-cut marble tiles go up to sizes of 36”x 36” or 24”x 48”. As our large format tile is also suitable for countertops and backsplashes, some of our marble is also available in a free-length option, with a fixed width of 16”, enabling you to choose your own length for a completely seamless finish, or choose 16” x 48” or 16” x 32”.

    What if the warehouse closest to you doesn’t have the item you have selected in stock?

    They can usually bring it in within a few days. If the manufacturer is willing to do this as a courtesy we will pass on that courtesy to you.  If there are any fees for this we will let you know so you can decide.  We always find out the exact timeline and email you to confirm if that is okay. If that doesn’t work for you then you will get a 100% refund. If it does, we proceed and email you when it is ready for pickup.
