HOW TO INSTALL A SUBWAY TILE BACKSPLASH IN YOUR BATHROOM

Decide how much of the space you want to use and measure from the end of the walls to find your starting midpoint. The human eye will always look to rationalise pattern, so try to balance the arrangement so the cuts to the tile are even at both ends of the wall. Cover your surfaces to protect them from tools and splashes. Then attach whole tiles in rows, working bottom to top. Partial tiles can be cut and positioned all together at the end. Use spacers to keep the tiles a uniform width apart and leave to set fully before grouting.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO INSTALL SUBWAY TILE BACKSPLASH?

It doesn’t take long at all to install a subway tile backsplash. If you want a small, localized backsplash for a stove or sink, this can be done in a day. However, if you are tiling a full wall backsplash, it is best to allow 2-3 days.
