    A Dark Basalt tile is the ultimate in simplicity. A subtle mid-gray, it is natural looking and understated. Whilst perfectly flat, it has a natural mid-sized grain creating an earthy texture.

    Basalt is a highly durable stone, regularly used for high-traffic areas of the home. Once sealed, it is relatively moisture resistant, making it ideal for use throughout the interior, as well as for exterior uses.

    Like Granite, Basalt is an igneous rock created by hot magma bubbling up from deep under the earth's crust. Once it has surfaced, it rapidly cools creating a solid rock. It has a consistent color throughout the stone, with no contrasting veins or large crystals to break the uniformity.
