Creamy white with a striking teak brown sweeping through each tile, it reminds one of a varnished wood. Its pattern is irregular, with each little tile displaying its own set of characteristics. Some are almost totally pale brown, with only a creamy undertone like an artisan latte coffee, others are ivory with contrasting brown veins sweeping their surface.     Whilst limestone is a comparatively soft stone when held up against a granite or slate, it is still incredibly durable. It has been used as a building block for centuries, taking pride of place within the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the most long-standing structures around.

    It is part of a group known as sedimentary stones, created when mineral deposits layer upon one another over a period of thousands of years. The pressure caused by the increasing layers of material causes them to cement together to form a solid rock. It is relatively porous and therefore has a natural susceptibility to staining, however, modern stone sealants can protect it from any immediate issues, providing enough moisture resistance for use in areas of the home such as bathrooms and kitchens.

    To enhance the colors within the stone, these tiles have been polished. This creates a mirror-shine which bounces light off its surface, brightening the colors, making them even more spectacular. The buffing process removes a large portion of the surface of the stone - but the effect is exquisite.
