Sleek and refined, Tao Gray limestone is the perfect contemporary neutral stone. Its pale gray color palette is incredibly versatile, looking stylish when paired with both minimalist designs, as well as more traditional looks.
Tao Gray limestone has a fairly consistent coloring with tiny particles of fossilized plant and sea life matter scattered throughout. This is caused by the stone's formation process, as limestone is created by layers of sediment settling to the bottom of a body of water. Over time, an increase in pressure causes these tiny particles to cement together, creating a hard and solid rock. In the midst of these mineral layers, plant and sea life also settle to the bottom as part of their natural lifecycle. These causes unique impurities within the stone's surface that add to its unique charm.
Limestone is an incredibly durable material, used for centuries to create both internal decoration and construction components. In fact, this sturdy stone has been used to create some of the world's most famous structures, including the Empire State Building. With this in mind, there is no doubt that Tao Gray limestone is suitable for all manner of applications throughout the home, including flooring in high-traffic areas, countertops, backsplashes, and more.
These tiles have a brushed finish, the perfect combination of subtle texture and design focused refinement. The process involves grinding the stone down until it reaches a smooth, level surface and then dragging wire bristles across the tile's face. This creates a subtle texture and matte effect, delicate enough to be used inside the home for all types of flooring and features.
A brushed limestone is popular because of its superior functionality, as well as beautiful design. Its texture affords it sufficient traction so that even while the tile is wet, it has enough grip to prevent slips and trips. This makes it ideal for bathroom flooring and for bustling family homes.
Tao Gray limestone is the ideal stone for creating a stylish and contemporary interior design. Use it to tile your flooring and matching countertop; when teamed with a sleek gloss kitchen you'll have the ultimate in refined modern living. Alternatively, use it to create beautiful shower or bathroom walls. Just add a large glass shower screen and white walls. But don't let our minimalist suggestions restrict you, Tao Gray limestone is incredibly versatile, add wooden elements for a cozy rustic feel, or marble and metallic accessories for a super on-trend look.
