HOW TO BUILD A LIMESTONE BLOCK RETAINING WALL

You can build a limestone block retaining wall yourself by following these instructions. First, dig a trench around 11cm – 18cm in depth. Lay your limestone blocks in the trench, beginning at the edge, and check that each block has been positioned straight. Leave a 2cm gap between every block. Prepare a limestone mortar and apply it with a trowel, filling in the spaces between the blocks. Leave to dry for 20 minutes, then wipe away the excess. Apply 2cm of the mortar on the top of the blocks and repeat with the next layer until your wall reaches the desired height.
