Transitions protect the edges of your flooring from wear, tear, and fraying.

    Reducer moldings are especially important because they prevent people from tripping at places where floor coverings of different thicknesses meet. Reducer transitions use a rounded effect to form a curve from tall flooring to shorter flooring. For minor height differences, the reducer may have an even arc shape. For more pronounced height differences, a reducer may have a ramp shape with a flat top that curves down toward the shorter flooring.

    Floor reducer molding is typically used as a transition piece for floorings that are thin, such as vinyl laminates. Floor reducer molding will provide a seamless look when transitioning between flooring surfaces providing a beautiful finished look to any room in your home. Floor reducers are typically used between rooms or entryways and can be installed over most existing surfaces, including tile, wood, concrete, and vinyl. They are 100% waterproof and are easy to clean and maintain.
